Hari Shanker Sharma, Director of Research (International Experimental Central Nervous System Injury & Repair, IECNSIR), University Hospital, Uppsala University is Professor of Neurobiology (MRC), Docent in Neuroanatomy (UU) and is currently affiliated with Department of Surgical Sciences, Division of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine, Uppsala University, Sweden. Dr. Sharma joined the lab of Neuropathology at Uppsala University with Professor Yngve Olsson in 1988 and received the prestigious Alexander von Humboldt Foundation Fellowship of German Government (1989–1991) for work on hyperthermia induced BBB dysfunction in Berlin (Germany). Dr Sharma awarded the Degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences of Uppsala University in Neuroanatomy in 1999 and received Award of the Medical faculty for best work, “The Hwassers Prize†of 1999. The Laerdal Foundation of Acute Medicine, Stavanger, Norway, and European Aerospace Research and Development (EOARD), London, UK and US Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, OH, USA supports his research. Dr. Sharma is the recipient of Distinguished International Scientists Collaboration Award by National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), Baltimore, MD (2006–2008); US TechConnect Global Innovation Award 2013, Washington DC May 12-16, 2013 on his work on Nanowired cerebrolysin in Neuropathic Pain, followed by Nanodelivery of Cerebrolysin and Neprilysin for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease, Washington DC, May 14-17, 2017. Hari Sharma has published over 350 research papers and 85 reviews, 14 monographs, and 80 international book chapters and edited 18 book volumes with Current H-index = 40 (ISI Database) as of today. Dr. Sharma at Uppsala University established a network of collaboration on “International Experimental CNS Injury & Repair Research Group†as a lead investigator with eminent collaborators from Europe, USA, and Australia till today (1991-).

Aruna Sharma, MD is Secretary of Research International Experimental Central Nervous System (CNS) injury & Repair (IECNSIR) currently working at Uppsala University Hospital, Uppsala University, Sweden. She is a qualified experimental Neurpathologist and received her training at Karl Marx University Leipzig, Institute of Neurobiology (1987-1988); Semmelweis University Medical School, Department of Human Morphology and Developmental Biology, Budapest, Hungary (1988-1989), Free University Berlin, Germany (1989-1991) and Neuropathology Institute Uppsala (1992-1995). Her main interest is now focused on Indian Medicinal drugs and their effects on the Central Nervous System Function, toxicology, neurorepair and neuroprotection. She is also investigating neurotoxicological profiles of many Ayurvedic traditional drugs with special reference to those containing metal oxide or metal ashes. Dr Sharma is member of various Distinguished American Organizations and elected to receive the prestigious award “Women of the Years Representing Sweden Award 2009â€. She earned Top 15 % technology Award of 2016 at Global Innovation Summit & Showcase on her recent Innovation on “Neuroprotective effects of Nanowired delivery of Cerebrolysin together with alpha melanocyte Stimulating hormone (ï¡-MSH) in concussive head injury in sleep deprivation, US Govt. Washington DC, May 22-25, 2016â€. She is also “Visiting Professor†of University of Basque Country, Bilbao, Spain supported by Basque Govt. Foundation (2015-2018) where she is engaged in nanodelivery of drugs affecting CNS Injury in neurodegenerative diseases e.g., Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Diseases. George Schroeder, MD, MS, FACEP, FAAUCM, graduated as an MD from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Medicine,Toronto, Ontario, Canada and earned a Master of Science (MS) from University of Texas at Dallas Graduate School of Healthcare Management, Dallas Texas, USA. He is the Medical Director of the North Florida Comprehensive Treatment Center. He has served as Clinical Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University Of Central Florida College Of Medicine, Orlando, Florida, USA, and he has recently joined the clinical faculty of the innovative College of Allopathic Medicine at the NOVA Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA. He was appointed by the Governor of Florida to the Pharmaceutical & Therapeutics Committee for the State of Florida, USA. Dr. Schroeder serves on the International Scientific Advisory Board of Magellan BioScience, Tampa , Florida. He is Editor in- chief of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Marine Sciences, Research & Development and Senior Medical Editor of the E-Journal of American Academy of Urgent Care Medicine as well as Medical Editor of the Journal of Freestanding Emergency Medicine. Jamal Ouazzani (Biography)
Dr. Jamal Ouazzani completed his PhD in applied microbiology in 1988 from Paris XI University-France and obtained a permanent research position at the National Center for Scientific Research CNRS in 1989 (www.cnrs.fr). Since 2014, he has held the position of CNRS Research Director within the Institute for Chemistry of Natural Compounds (ICSN, www.icsn.cnrs-gif.fr) and leads the ICSN Pilot-Unit (www.pilotunit.com). Dr. J. Ouazzani has an interdisciplinary profile covering fundamental and applied microbiology, natural product chemistry, biochemistry, biocatalysis, bioremediation, innovative biotechnology design, building and implementation. He has been engaged in diverse consulting activities since 1996, for environmental, cosmetic and pharmaceutical companies. He has published more than 62 publications in peer-reviewed journals and has obtained nine patents. The ICSN Pilot Unit benefits from European, regional and national grants in the context of eight collaborative projects, including coordinating the EU-H2020 project TASCMAR (www.tascmar.eu). Dr. Ouazzani collaborates with various companies in the field of ethno-pharmacology, bioactive natural compounds from plants, marine organisms and microorganisms, innovative extraction and bio-resource cultivation technologies.

Alberto Alcibiades Salazar Granara is a Medical Doctor (USMP-Peru, 2006), likewise, he is a Medicine PhD (USMP-Peru, 2012) and Pharmacology MSc (USMP-Peru, 2011). He has a postdoctoral studies in Medicinal Plant and Teratology (Federal de Rio Grande del Sur University-Brazil, 2012), in Pharmacogenomics, Hypertension and Clinical Research (Sao Paulo University School of Medicine – Brazil, 2013 and 2016). Since January of 2014 he is a voluntary firefighter and belongs at the Cuerpo General de Bomberos Voluntarios Del Perú. Since 2002, he is researcher of the Center of Traditional Medicine and Pharmacology of The School of Medicine at The San MartÃn de Porres University, and since 2015, he is Director of them. He is member of the Latin-American Society of Pharmacology, Peruvian Society of The Experimental Pharmacology and Therapeutic, Peruvian Society of Molecular Pharmacology, and Peruvian Society of Study of Pain. He is qualified how to National Researcher in Science and Technology with register number 2231. He has more than 50 publications in areas like traditional medicine, medicinal plants, pharmacology and pharmacogenomics.

Other interest is in pharmacology research with emphasis in the exploration of the analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antidepressant and neuroleptic properties and herbal-drug interaction of Peruvian medicinal plants, also, the study of the off-label effect from common drugs, as, antihypertensives, hypoglycemic agents and antidepressants; and finally is the research of highlight pharmacogenetic and pharmacokinetic markers in Peruvian population.

Prof. Dr. Zeljan Males is a dean of Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry University of Zagreb, full professor with tenure and head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Botany. Professor MaleÅ¡ teaches Pharmaceutical Botany. After completing master program in analytical chemistry and pharmacy prof. dr. sc. Ž. MaleÅ¡ got his PhD title in the field of pharmacy in 1995. He spent his carrier at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry, obtaining a full professor with tenure title in 2010. He was principal investigator and collaborator of nine scientific projects and visiting scientist at Institut für Pharmakognosie der Karl-Franzens-Universität, Graz, Austria on numerous occasions. Professor MaleÅ¡ published 90 scientific papers. He is member of editorial board of “Acta Pharmaceutica†and “Farmaceutski glasnikâ€. He got numerous awards including “Medal prof. dr. Julije Domac†- the highest honorable award of the Croatian Pharmaceutical Society.

Maria Margarida Caramona is full Professor of Pharmacology in the Faculty of Pharmacy, of Coimbra University, Portugal. She has the degree in Pharmacy and the Ph.D. in Pharmacology (1985) obtained both at University of Coimbra and since 1998 is Full Professor in the Faculty of Pharmacy at the same University. The main scientific research areas were in the first years of her academic career related with the studies in pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics process mainly in neuropharmacology with animal model. In the last 20 years is more devoted to clinical pharmacy and pharmaceutical care with patients data for a more rational use of drugs. She teaches the courses of pharmacology in the Pharmacy Faculty of Coimbra and is responsible for the training of the students in the community and in the hospital pharmacies during the pre-graduate career. Those particular tasks are very well supported with a very good relationship with the community and hospital pharmacists She was involved with different tasks in the Portuguese Pharmacological Society with cooperation with the British Pharmacological Society. With the European Society of Clinical Pharmacy structure being member of the Education Committee in the 90´s (1990-1994) and later in the General Committee between 1995 to 2000 with an active participation in the organization of 2015 ESCP Lisbon Symposia being president of the Scientific Committee were the main topic was about Medicines Information – Making better decisions.

Dr. Guertin has 27 years of experience in spinal cord research and 15 years of experience in science leadership. He was President and CEO of NeuroSpina Therapeutics between 2005 and 2008 as well as Chief Scientific Officer of Eurymedon HealthCare during the same period. During 8 years, he acted as President and CEO of Nordic Life Science Pipeline Inc. He is currently developing next-generation pharmaceutical, healthcare and skincare products for people with CNS trauma, paralysis and mobility impairment due to aging or disease. Over the years, he has obtained 4.8 million dollars in financing from not-for-profit public agencies and private foundations to conduct animal research (rodents), drug development and clinical studies. He has developed a cutting-edge expertise in spinal cord injury and aging, metabolic problems, urogenital and bowel problems, and musculoskeletal/dermatological degradation. He holds positions as Full Professor in the Department of Psychiatry & Neurosciences (Université Laval, 2001 - present) as well as Director and Principal Investigator of the Spinal Cord Injury and Functional Recovery Laboratory (2002 – present, Laval University Medical Center, Quebec). As a leading scientist, he is author and co-author of more than 175 publications (articles, reviews, book chapters, patents, etc.) since 1990. He acts also as editorial board member (32 international journals), referee and reviewer for granting agencies such as CIHR, NSERC, and FRSQ. Among several breakthrough findings made in his laboratory, his main accomplishment remains undoubtedly the discovery in 2004 and the development from bench-to-bedside of the first oral drug ever, Spinalon, capable of reactivating spinal locomotor neurons and eliciting basic walking activity in paralyzed animals and patients.

Prof. Touhami LANEZ is a Professor at the University of El Oued, Algeria and Vice-Rector in charge of higher education, university rehabilitation and scientific research. Prof. Touhami LANEZ is the head of Laboratory of Valorisation and Technology of Sahara Resources (VTRS) at the University of El Oued (Algeria). He majored in organic chemistry at the University of Constantine, Algeria in 1985, and received a PhD in organic chemistry from the faculty of sciences at Strathclyde University, Great Britain in 1989.
